Review: Legends by Bob Marley is a great album. All the songs on this album are his most famous ones. The only thing that is bad about this album is that the songs can get boring every once in a while because I think listening to them a lot. The album is very good, but it's not one that you want to listen to repetitively without a break. The best songs on the album are: "Get Up Stand Up," "Buffalo Soldier," "Exodus," "Could You Be Loved," and "Jamming." "Get Up Stand Up" is one of Marley's most famous. "Exodus," for a seven minute song, allows you the time to really appreciate it. It tells you about people who are going to be a better place. It talks about people going home. It celebrates that we are going back to where we want to be. "Buffalo Soldier" tells us a story of a man who was taken from Africa to America and he was sent to go to war and he's doing whatever he can to survive--"fighting for survival." "Jamming" is a song you can dance to or listen to. It says "go with the flow" and that you are free.

Some of the songs are better if you play them in a certain order. If you listen to the songs in the order the album puts them, it's nice; but I think there are ways to match the songs to the way you are feeling. You can keep an exhilarating feeling going; for example after listening to "Exodus," you could listen to "Jamming." These songs have a similar groove and create a feeling of celebration.

Bob Marley has always inspired me to represent for what you want to do. "Get Up Stand Up" says to believe what you want to believe. Although not everything everyone says is true, Marley says we need to stand upf or what we believe. "Exodus" says that if you do believe in something, you should go even further and try to achieve it.

Bob Marley was a wonderful artist and it was a shame that he died early. It would have been wonderful to see what else he might have created if he had lived longer. I would love to take some of his DNA and put it in a machine and see what else he might have created. His songs describe his passion for music and I have always wanted to know what he might have done next.

History of Rock 'N Roll Song Review

Bob Marley: "Could You Be Loved?"
"Could You Be Loved?" is a really good song by Bob Marley. Like most of Marley's songs, it is very expressive and has a romantic feeling to it. Still it has a groovy kind of mellow feeling to it. With Bob Marley's songs, you can just sit down and listen to them and not have to "worry about a thing" because the tempo of his songs are so relaxed and at a nice and steady pace. You can actually take time to understand what Marley is trying to get through to you. In this song, what I think Marley is doing is asking a question. I think he his trying to ask us how we relate to, and interact with, everyone in this world.

Stevie Wonder: "Superstition"
"Superstition" is faster paced than Bob Marley's "Could You Be Loved?" and the title of the song basically describes it. The song is very mysterious in some ways, but it is a song we can all relate to because lots of people have superstitions about things. I think the song is good and relates well to Wonder's audience because it talks about things everyone has experienced. Stevie Wonder's songs go with the flow of things. You can relate to them because he sings about things that happen in our every day life like war, love, and sadness. Because we can relate to his songs, he is very popular.

Sly and the Family Stone: "I Want To Take You Higher
This is a very exciting and exhilarating song. The whole song is like a groovy roller coaster. Each singer in the band can change their tone from low to high and higher and higher and higher. Every time I listen to the song, I don't want it to end. It's a way of saying that you should just enjoy life, be happy and keep on going and reach your highest. Sly has a very different style than Stevie Wonder or Bob Marley. His songs are a lot faster and they have a funky beat that you can dance to at any time. The songs are really fun to listen to and they are easy to sing along with. They are also perfect for hanging out with your friends in a stress free way.
