Review: Legends by Bob Marley is a great album. All the songs on this album are his most famous ones. The only thing that is bad about this album is that the songs can get boring every once in a while because I think listening to them a lot. The album is very good, but it's not one that you want to listen to repetitively without a break. The best songs on the album are: "Get Up Stand Up," "Buffalo Soldier," "Exodus," "Could You Be Loved," and "Jamming." "Get Up Stand Up" is one of Marley's most famous. "Exodus," for a seven minute song, allows you the time to really appreciate it. It tells you about people who are going to be a better place. It talks about people going home. It celebrates that we are going back to where we want to be. "Buffalo Soldier" tells us a story of a man who was taken from Africa to America and he was sent to go to war and he's doing whatever he can to survive--"fighting for survival." "Jamming" is a song you can dance to or listen to. It says "go with the flow" and that you are free.

Some of the songs are better if you play them in a certain order. If you listen to the songs in the order the album puts them, it's nice; but I think there are ways to match the songs to the way you are feeling. You can keep an exhilarating feeling going; for example after listening to "Exodus," you could listen to "Jamming." These songs have a similar groove and create a feeling of celebration.

Bob Marley has always inspired me to represent for what you want to do. "Get Up Stand Up" says to believe what you want to believe. Although not everything everyone says is true, Marley says we need to stand upf or what we believe. "Exodus" says that if you do believe in something, you should go even further and try to achieve it.

Bob Marley was a wonderful artist and it was a shame that he died early. It would have been wonderful to see what else he might have created if he had lived longer. I would love to take some of his DNA and put it in a machine and see what else he might have created. His songs describe his passion for music and I have always wanted to know what he might have done next.

Austin-

I liked this review a lot, I love that there are song listings to see if there are any you can recognize, was that you're original purpose? Well it worked out anyways. I like how you told us why the album can be bad at some parts, with the boring songs and such, and then how you can appreciate the longer songs.

Nice review,
Laura.
